Will Religion be of great help in this Global Financial Crisis?

Sometimes the faith and beliefs we have in our religion is what we have ti hold on to the most. Even in a financial situation, religion can see us through.

Well, I would not necessarily say that it will be a Religion for say that will help people to overcome this. It is going to be a belief and trust in god or a higher power that people can Pray too and believe in to help carry them thru the rough times in their life. Even Christians will loose their homes and jobs and have struggles as my husband and I can attest too, but continuing to hold on and believe in god to help get us thru makes it all worth while.

I think religion maybe give people strength, and some it will give a feeling of 'it's okay God will look after me' and will become lazy. I personally doubt religion can help much. I heard a story about the Haiti earthquakes, that when the roads were blocked and people dyeing of starvation and medication the food/med supply trucks couldn't all get through (infastructure damage), but still a few truck loads of bibles got through to some remote areas. Hmmm, not such great in times of crisis. =( And as for now, I think religion won't play a big part. The crisis will resolve itself with or without religion.
