This interest is lacking in the amount of people that post and when they post. The last post (other than myself) was 7 months ago! That is crazy! Anyone out there want to help. Lets share our stories :) I have been together with my so for over 3 years now and married for a little over a year. He is currently overseas and I havent seen him now in over a year. He left two weeks after we got married. However our wedding was beautiful and I cant wait to see him again! :) What is your story?

Aww thats so sweet!! Wow I cant believe you havent seen him in over a year thats a long time to be without eachother, I know you cant wait to see him again. I, myself dont have a military love story :( but my little brother is joining the Marines in a few months or so as soon as they have an opening since they only take a few people a month, and Im hoping that maybe he can meet a nice girl and find love after that or maybe even a girl that is in there too.

Tell your brother congratulations for me! :) The marines will probably tell him to stay single like my husbands higher ups did. My advice though is if he finds someone that he loves marry them right away. My husband and I waited and now hes stationed in a place that im not allowed to go. If we would have gotten married sooner I could have been with him. Best of luck to your brother and your family. Semper fi :)

I met my husband when he was on leave visiting family. We were together the whole time. I moved in with him a month later when he returned to his home port. We have been together for 9 years and married for 8 years with two kids. We have moved a cpl times and recently just moved again. I couldnt ask for a better husband or father. Our longest deployment so far has been 6 months. He is on the subs. Before he goes out for deployment I always make him a book and fill out cards for him to open on certain dates while gone. He send me flowers with a love letter every two weeks. When seperated for a few months at a time have to do little things to let the other person know your thinking of them and that you love and miss them.

We stayed apart for six years due to his field posting then subsequent kargil war and then tension at the border with Pakistan but then he returned a changed man, and my son was born when he had just left for a field posting, he grew up without continuous presence of his father in his growing years. In fact we thought we would never make through the initial getting back years, he was so changed and almost a stranger again. but I kept a lot patience , and now we are finally happy after living for four years together again, lets see how long this spell would last..its such a topsy turvey relationship with men in army.
