To all college graduates, Congratulations and Welcome to the world of the unemployed! I'm not trying to scare you, but that is the real world. Lucky you if you can find work within a month after graduation. But in the corporate world, almost everybody is on the rat race. Don't expect to get a high-paying job right away. A single position would have numerous applicants, some even have previous job experiences. So what would make you stand out? Fresh graduates are so idealistic. Well brace yourselves because not all taught in school are being done in the work place. This early in your career try to find a work that is related to your field no matter how meager your salary can be. Get an experience. When you have increased your marketability by getting job experiences it is easier for you to look for a greener pasture. Good Luck graduates!

Well better make good with your grades, since when you will apply for a job in the future you need to give your credentials and it is an eyesore if you have a lot of D's and an F's on them. If it is possible, try to gain work experience even while you are studying or when you are on your school break. Since you are going to take business management, why not immerse yourself on the business setting. You can work on a shop or a fast food chain. There is a lot to learn from there. Even if you are a business graduate, it doesn't mean you will instantly become a manager unless you own your own company. You should have an understanding of what each department does. Try to hone your leadership skills. Try to actively participate in school organization. When you are a manager you tend to lead your flock. Attend all possible seminars related to your field. That is all I can think of right now. Good Luck to you Samantha! And I hope you like your choice of course. It wouldn't help if you change your course every semester. I have cousins who changed course so many times. What a waste!

It is truly a sense of accomplishment. When you consider that there are many, many students that really do fall flat on their face throughout the year. How they try and make it to that final happy moment, how they try and make it through but they just cannot make it. The school life is becoming one that many are not adapting too that well. Perhaps there are too many external distractions, perhaps the demands are far more but no matter the case, there are a lot of people failing. Still for those who have gotten to that happy point of graduation, good job for you. Pat yourself on the back and know that you have made it down that hard road. Whether you excelled or just merely survived, at least you finished. That is just the biggest thing about graduation that one most realize. Sometimes it is not as much about success, as it is about survival. So a really good job that you made it through something so difficult for many.

Congratulations to all graduates! Enjoy the summer, cause some of them are really trying hard to get a job. When I graduated from college I was that very eager to get a job right away. I did not even choose what particular job it might be, as long as I'm qualified to a position. So my advise to college graduates, if possible, get some trainings that is inline with your studies. Take review classes for those who need to take board exams cause its important. Be prepared for your career. Wishing you all the best to come!

I want to Congratulate them all too. After years of hard work and all the problems, they had finally graduated and made their parents proud! It's definitely worth celebrating. But then they'd have to prepare themselves for a bigger challenge, whether college or looking for a job..which isn't easy at all.

That was so inspiring message Gothicana, and I they should be thankful to you also. I remember when I graduated in elementary and high school, for me it is the day that i should not forget in my whole life. I'm so happy at that time not just because i graduated with ribbons and medals but the happiness that i gave to my parents. I make them proud of me. Hope others would be very thankful also to their parents for the support and love they gave.

You make me feel ashamed of myself. I reprimanded my daughter yesterday when she told me that the c=m laude thing slipped through her fingers. I yacked about how lightly she took her subjects, and she not passionately dwelt on Marvel Comics and X-men movies, she could have been a summa. She has the brains, and I told her that I was not saying it because I was her mother, she has IQ 136, I think. But of course, what matters now is that she has earned her degree. I will make amends and really feel sorry. Please pray for me when I go up the stage with my daughter to receive the diploma. I might slip and tumble! Of course, I am proud of my daughter. She is a happy and lovable person.
