just try to use thetune up utilities for windows if your using windows then scan your pc and everything follows because the tune up utilities detects all the problem of your pc and then upon finsh the tune up utilities fix all the problems..just give it a try..

hi there m friend, it all depends on what you really want to do with your computer, if its only for the internet ther is so many things you need to do with, lets talk about good memory, and jsut before you do that you need to know what kind of processor you have it m ost be a good one in order to do significant changes on your pc, i said memory about 3g of memory ram, sata hard drive,and ofcourse the motherboard with the latest ethernet card adapted, ok if your computer is little bit old lets consider to install the windows xp ligh wich is very fast to load but has a limited features

i think u can upgrade ur memory/ram its can faster ur computer performance. Tweak ur computer too its help to get best performance. im using windows, n tweaking some register there, like add more cache to register, set low animation and another things.

Well was it faster in the past and now its slow?And do you want apps performance internet performance or gaming performance.Try re-installing your operating system get an anti-virus that does not req a lot of ram or does not make your cpu go crazy.Try not to install a lot of enchantment softwere that make you desktop pretty those tend to eat a lot of ram as well.Good Luck.

Use your defragger this will get rid of any bugs, but could take multiple hours. Then use your "DISK CLEANER". And then finally use ur control panel to delete any unwanted programs!!! :)
