I have recently brought a sony video camera and was wanting to edit the videos I have taken and merge other videos together, to create a time line sort of. WHat is a good program to use to cut and paste a video?

Add Adobe Premier and Camtasia Studio to your list of video editors option. These two are also great ones. :)

There is Windows movie maker, but then I would recommend Adobe After-effects. You could use Macromedia Flash too. There are lots of other video editing software. These three are just the ones I am capable of using. Enjoy editing!

Thannk you for replying. I will have to look into After-Effects. I have windows movie maker but haven really had the chance to play with it. I'm hoping to find something that I can cut out parts of videos, and take clippings and paste them together with other videos.

Hai abbiemaldonado I feel windows movie maker is the best video editing software and after that video pad editor etc... are some of the editor which is good and I feel windows movie maker is the best because it consists of various transition properties, various titles and credits various video effects and you could also create an auto movie.
