I was assigned last night to a preterm infant who happened to be in a dying state..i can vividly witness the absence of breathing.. no more rise and fall and the only thing that kept him on the go is through ambu bagging... i was so hopeless that night because from time to time the monitor alarms because his oxygen saturation is low and his heart is starting to fail. I want him to CRY!... i want him even just to open his eyes by himself....but for the first three hours i was failed....the mother of that fragile infant is only 16 or 17. and don't even showing even just a little concern to her angel..Their poor and their lack of knowledge to what is really happening..I took the courage to explain in my most simple way for them to understand that this child is fighting to his life just to be with them,,,just to feel how to live and be love...Then they started to help me and cooperate to what I am doing....I felt the connection of the baby and the mother and suddenly he's vital signs became stable up to the end of my shift...and He CRIED! open his eyes and even gave us a smile....what a relief... I was so happy then...I hope he will survive....

Its a miracle really and that I attribute to the bonding between the mother and child which was absent until you played a role. Well done. God will bless you.

Thank you. but you know what the happiest feeling is when you do something good to others and seeing them that that it helped them a lot is a relief no matter how hard for you to do it.
