Does anyone use cloth diapers? I do, I like "smartipants" the best. They are an all in one and one size fits all style. I have tried quite a few and research them for months before buying any. I also have fuzzibunz, bum genius, the flip and enconobum. What ones do you like the most and why?

I used cloth diapers for my first baby boy. I had terry toweling diapers and did then up with safety pins. For my second baby I bought Mother Ease cloth diapers. Though at 36 weeks pregnancy I found out he has spina bifida and hydrocephalus. He was born at home and then went off to hospital in an ambulance. He went into disposible diapers at the special care baby unit. He had an operation to close the hole in his back. I had to carry on using disposible diapers for him being careful of the scar on his back where the surgeon cut in. I wish I had been able to use the Motherease. They are a one size fits all and made in Canada. I use disposible diapers for my one year old daughter. I think that Smaripants sound like excellent cloth diapers.

Hello Abbiemaldonado. I have been a babysitter for close onto 40 years, and will use nothing but cloth diapers, and only with plastic pants over them. In my case,I make my own out of flannel, depending on age,I cut the right size and add more cloth in the center for extra absorbency,in some cases,I will use disposable inserts that you flush in the toilet. As the child grows,I will let them run around naked at home, and put the plastic pants on when going out. I found the plastic pants great as you use them in all phases of life, diapers, training pants and regular underwear till they are 100% trained. Thank you for using cloth diapers.

I love cloth diapers they are so much better for the environment. And the way you have been doing it, cheaper. I was going to make my own, but it's still on my project to do list.
