When I was a teenager, I became rebellious because I could not understand why my mother forbid me to do things that I really like to do like going out with friends, to watch movie, to go to the beach and to enjoy things that a young teenager should experience. One day, I asked my mom to allow me to become a band member. I was recruited as one of the vocalists and guitarists. When my mom, knew it, she was so angry and she told me that there's no future of becoming a band member. It was only a waste of time, it will lead you to become a drug addict and the worst is you cannot finish your studies. That time, I was really down because for me it was already an opportunity for me to earn and to fulfill my dream. So the group recruited another female vocalist and they had a lot of concerts already. I really envied them. I continued college. During my college years, I gradually realize why my mom was so strict. It was in college that I value what my mom told me. I learned that the band members that recruited me got married at an early age. Two members went abroad but did not succeed due to illegal recruitment. If I really insisted what I wanted maybe I became like them. Mother really knows best.

This is very true. I also hated my mom before when I was in my earlier age. But now being a mother myself, sometimes I feel like I'm acting like her. And really, I understand her very well now. Mothers only wants the best for her children, no more, no less.
