Since I was in grade school I really love to hold cameras. I really don;t know but it is like a magnet that pulls me toward those lenses and take whatever I see around. Until my parents purchased cameras and of course i used them to express what i really want to do. taking pictures. My favorite subjects are my family and nature.every time i heard the camera clicks it created a feeling of bliss in my heart..I hope I can have a proper schooling in photography and someday can buy my own DSLR camera.

i love taking pictures especially portraits and took basic photography that indulged in lighting, composition and apertures. there are a lot of reading materials on the net which basically what were taught in the school. as a professional photographer mentor stated, "A great photographer has the eye and timing at the right instant to capture a moment in time." although the high end expensive DSLR camera has a big advantage when it comes to quality, it's maximum potential can only be achieved by experience, knowledge, keen interest and importantly 'the eye' to compose a picture.

My mentors says the same thing. Most of the time, it is being in the right place at the right time and having the eye to see what catches interest in people. I have friends buying DSLR cameras just because they love to take pictures of themselves, their friends and their travels. Some opinionated people always criticize them for buying such an expensive gadget, but for me, as long as they have the money, what right do we have to criticize them. After a while, some of them learns to love the art of photography and they become good at it and that is really good.

same here. i also love taking pictures, and editing them. but unfortunately i still dont have my own DSLR, it's just very expensive for me. i have many friends who are good photographers so studying photography is not a big problem. im just amazed how great they are with our even having proper photography education, i think it's just natural talent. i hope i have that talent too.... :)

hi tammy! while it is really great to have a dslr, you can still create artistic photos through your digital cameras. You can read photography books in order to learn the different techniques in taking photos then try and practice them on your friend's cameras. Most of the time, it is just being in the right place at the right time.

Ihope you get to follow your dream. Work is always fun and pleasant when you are doing something you love. I owned a ceramic business for 25 years. it was wholesale/retail of all finished products. At one time in my job I was working with over 13 florists doing all the ceramic containers for the shops. It was a lot of work with all the holidays, and then babies , anniversaries and just ornamental vases that people wanted in certain colors to match a theme to their homes. But it kept my kids fed and clothed, and I really did enjoy working in the craft. So do what you love to do. It might take a bit to get there for all t he equipment but there is so much you can do with a camera. I like photography of scenery myself. I have a picture I took up in the Smokey Mountains in Gatlinburg Tennessee. I still have the picture and think its one of the best scenic pics I ever got to take. Good luck!
