What to expect with a whole abdomen ultrasound?

My OB requested a whole abdomen ultrasound. I don't know why and I still haven't done it. For some reason, I'm scared. I don't know what to expect, what the result would be.. I guess I'm paranoid. Have you undergone this kind of ultrasound?

Remember to do an NPO "nothing per orem" or do not take anything by mouth even water for at least 8 hours before the procedure and have laxative at your hour of sleep before the day of the procedure. It is very safe so you do not have to worry about anything.
