My friends and I were talking about getting a passport. Here in the Philippines It will took you a half or whole day in processing. We were so clueless on how much money we will prepare to get our own passport. None of us has an idea...I hope anyone of you here can help...

it will no longer take a whole day, you need to apply first on line. if you dont have this you can not get inside DFA passporting building. http://www.passport.com.ph/ go to that site and get an appointment. tell it to your friends too. you can all chose the dates where you and your friends are not busy and you can chose also the time. i got my schedule on morning and after an hour i was out of the building already. that fast. just make sure that you will bring all the needed papers. it is all there at the site all you need is to read. plus you dont have to go there again to get the passport, they also offer a delivery. it is very fast and very convenient. good luck. hope this can help.

The passport cost 950 pesos when I got it but if you wanted to have it rushed I think it would be around 1200. For ordinary processing it will take 22 business days before you will be able to receive it while will only take 14 days for rush processing. I don't know if it even applies now, it's been awhile since I had my passport. Better yet go to the DFA office and check how much it costs now.

The processing fee depends on what type, it will cost you 1250 for overtime processing for regular processing it's 950. If I were you, you can call the DFA to inquire about passports processing fee and the requirements.
