so has any ever gotten a tattoo removed before? if so how was it done and did it cost a lot to have it done? the reason that I'm asking this is because i saw a news report about tattoo removal and they were talking about how laser tattoo removal was the best and safest way. do you think that its the better way of getting it removed or are there other ways that are better and safer?

Well they usually use lasers to remove tattoos but they say they are a little bit painful and expensive. But I have not heard of any other alternatives about it.

I have heard of a few people removing them. The procedure they used was laser removal and it was quite expensive. A friend of mine had a very dark and colorful tiger on his arm which was about 4 1/2 inches in length. I don't remember how many treatments he had but they were several of them. Total cost to get it removed was $7500. It left scarring but he said that with time it would begin to fade. He said that what was a $150 tattoo turned out to be expensive and painful to remove, but did so because of the type of work he had. As far as it being safe, I would say it was because he was fine. It looked more like discomfort between treatments. I know there are some creams out in the market but have never heard that they actually worked.

I've only heard about laser removal, and it can be quite expensive. Just look at laser eye surgery. The procedure itself taking about 10 minutes could cost up to $7k. So, that being said, having a tattoo removed could cost even more than that, depending on how large it is. I have never thought about having any of mine removed, careful thought went into each one of them, and they're ones I can live with for the rest of my life.
