When people think of the best defenders ever they mention the likes of Maldini,Franz Beckerbauer,Bobby Moore and Brazilians Roberto Carlos and Maicon. But player i dont often see mentioned is Franco Baresi, when he was playing for Italy and Ac milan he was one of the best defenders they have ever produced, he is one of the defenders i've saw tackle someone then be able to run a lung busting distance of the pitch full speed take an excellent first touch and finish cleverly, something that is missing in the moderm game. He is definately one of the best players to ever play.
