"TO ERR IS HUMAN." Indeed, we all make mistakes. And sometimes, our faults not only affect ourselves but others as well. The tendency to blame others in order to save one's face for any wrongdoing is pervasive. This act of self-preservation can be seen in many and some have even become master of it.

He or she can also be best described as egoistic and self centered. Vanity claimed as well.

True enough, some people would put the charge on just about anybody or something just to save their own skins from humiliation embarrassment and reprimand.

It is very natural to put the blame on others. While it is not the right thing to do, it tend to be like reflex. As much as one might try to be fare in what they do, when a situation arrive there is always a need to take ones self out of the situation. Even in the case of a car accident, the driver always try swerve the car to avoid collision from his side. I think people try to pass the buck sometimes without even knowing.

Looking for someone else to blame for one's own mistake is an act of cowardice. Some do this because they are afraid to face the facts and the realities of life.

I think we caan all share some guilt at passing the buck at some time in our lives. none of us are perfect. Judgments are made. some are unwise or unfair while others are just and unrefutable. Passing the buck is just a natural way of shifting responsibility to someone else. there doesn't have to be a clear reason for this to happen to us or for us.

I agree with you, passing the buck is common nowadays are leaders of countries and government officials who not only blame one another but also their predecessors, constituents, and sometimes even "mother nature" for their failure to overcome the economic and social crisis in their respective nations or jurisdiction. Lawbreakers justify what they do by pointing to red tape, corruption, and incompetence of other people.
