What's That Cute Noise?

It's my Flojo heavy breathing in her sleep! At first I wondered what this noise was and then I realised.. The moggy is situated on a cover on the floor (that quilt from the in-laws) that's folded up so she's nice and comfy on it. It's situated about 10 feet away (behind me) but I can still hear her breathing away. Such a relaxing sound. Better than the "music" that's now died down from next door, that's for sure! Bet she starts snoring in a bit! Do you like the sound of your cats sleeping or does it get on your nerves lol..I suppose it depends on how many you've got!

How your Flojo snores! It is 30.5m or so away, you can still hear it.Does your cat snore like this every night? If conditions were otherwise, that is because It has just recovered from its illness-cystitis,that exhausted it ,It was in deep sleep.

Oh, I like the sound of their sleeping, and I have three. One never sleeps with the other two. You are so right, it is a relaxing sound.

She's not sleeping on my pillow at the moment. It seems to be seasonal..whenever the winter approaches, onto the pillow she goes..the rest of the year she splits her time between John's computer chair and the two covers down here. Sometimes I will place my arms around her on the cover and just listen to her breathe for a bit. It's an amazing stress-reliever (especially when she's purring as well) but I wouldn't try it with a cat that's bad-tempered! When I get up to greet the day, once in the bathroom she follows me in and I go, "Do you want a hug?" and she moves into a position whereby I can pick her up properly..and do what she asks. This has been a recent development and I'm so pleased as I love to hear her purr in my ear lol. When we got her there's NO WAY either of us could pick her up like that. I only do it on her terms though. You know what cats are like!!

I can't say I can hear most of my cats breathing, but I just adore Ping's purr! He puts a bit of vocal into it so it is pretty loud

Yes, whenever she sleeps on my pillow (in the winter, usually) she's right by the side of my head and her deep breathing/purring has got me off to sleep many times. They are lovely sounds.
