I can't kill you

I and my friend just moved in to a new apartment, much better than our old one. But, it's too disgusting when we were cleaning and I opened the lower cabinet under the sink to clean it up and suddenly gosh dozens of cockroach are in there. I scream and totally freak out of what I saw. I told my friend that she will do the honor of spraying or killing them right away with a wood or something. But it runs so fast, there is no way my friend could do it, she's so slow and afraid too. Lol!

Ewww...This reminds me of my first apartment. My friend and I found this place, and we knew that there were cockroaches, but then we didn't know that it was that many! We too had time eliminating them because they're really fast! So, we had to buy a lot of bugspray. I remember that we would normally scream when a roach would suddenly appear, and then we'd laugh because we're such sissies. I bet our neighbors are all mad at us for always screaming.

OH.MY.GOODNESS!! i would die off! i'm terrified of bugs. especially spiders. although i did touch a tarantula once, but i think they are different. They are big and you can see where they are going!! lol! sort of like your problem, you can't see where your bugs are going because they move too fast. I don't know how it works there, but over here, we can ring the Environmental services, and they will come out and remove/exterminate the bugs, as its a health and safety issue! Obviously if you have a bee or wasp nest, or just a few bugs, you would have to hire your own exterminator, but something like that thats clearly a health and safety issue, should be down to your local government or city council! are you renting the property? If you are, you should go to your citizens advice, because thats completely against your terms of tenancy to be rented a filthy accomodation!

You need to contact your landlord over this. As trying to kill them and use store bought sprays will not do enough. My IL's have had them for many years trying store bought things and they finally realized yrs later that a professional exterminator was the only way to go. For every one you see they said there's 150 more in the walls.

Hi. christine888. I remember living an apartment that was so nasty as crap! It had roaches, rats and flies in this apartment. Underneath the kitchen sink was leaking too. The kitchen smelled like urine. I also think that someone crept into the kitchen while the apartment was abandoned, and they urinated in the jug. It smelled really bad in the kitchen too. I left all of my furniture into this apartment, when I moved out, because the roaches were so bad. I did not want to take my furniture right back to my old trailer. It would have been infested with roaches and rats! Yikes! On top of that, this apartment was not clean and it still had the previous tenants belongings still left into the apartment. My guess is that the previous tenants were evicted and they did not have the time to get all of their belongings out of the trailer. I did not live in this apartment no longer than three weeks. My husband and I moved back into our trailer. Your landlord should get an exterminator out at your apartment to get rid of the cockroaches.

I will totally freak out if I was in your case as well. I jump and run away if I see just one cockroach, how much more if there's so many of them. I won't even try to kill all of them with a wood for they might crawl in the wood or fly towards me.. I just hate cockroach so much. so if I was in your case I would let somebody spray insecticide to the cabinet but before someone does that I will make sure I am far away from the cabinet..

Thankfully I have never had the experience of cockroaches. I probably would scream that the whole neighborhood would hear me, because I would be so loud. Because you are renting ask your landlord to fumigate and clean them out, from what I understand they hatch eggs fairly quickly and become a constant problem. Best of luck and hope the new place is nice and pleasant for the both of you to continue to enjoy.
