i have this job where it can really provide me a lot of things..helps me buy what i want but every time i go to work i really do not have the energy or interest because i do not like the job or the kind of work..then i am so hesitant to change or to look for a new job, a job that i really wanted because of the financial concerns... what should i do about it?do you think that i should go where my heart is or go after where the money is?

I am just wondering how can you work effectively if you don't have the passion to do your job. The nice part is that you're being paid whatever the result is. Regarding on your problem I can say maybe you can hang on to your job right now and when your financial problem becomes stable, it's time for you to follow the desire of your heart. Then you can do whatever you wish to do, sometimes we need to sacrifice to make things better.

OK! Let's put it this way. Why not think that your doing it because you want to do what you wish to do as soon as possible. At least your being motivated in a positive way. hehehe Not just merely motivated by MONEY and only MONEY. ^_^

That's really a sad situation. But for one to work productively, he should be driven by the love and care for his work. How can you work passionately, if the work itself doesn't interest you and you hate it. I think, you should scout for another job that will interest you even if the pay is a little smaller than the former. Anyways, salaries of employees tend to increase as the employee was seen to be really hardworking and honest by his employer or boss. Go where your heart is.

Well, in the long run, you might just end up feeling miserable staying with a job you don't enjoy and not following what your heart desires... Now you say there are financial concerns. But this current job provides you with a lot of things and helps you buy what you want... If you're not doing this yet: Would it be possible to hold off on buying things you want, just buy things you need for now. Put the rest in savings or something... Then when you've saved enough to keep you afloat for a while, that's the time to let go of this job and try to look for that which you would enjoy more. Good luck! =)

Only you can make that decision. But think about it realistically, not just with your heart. Is your passion going to make you a reasonable salary? Maybe not what you're currently on, but enough for you to live on even if you have to give up some luxuries. And do you think your work will suffer because you're not passionate about it? If you don't think that you can make money from your passion, start to look into it properly during your free time. You may find yourself a niche you hadn't noticed before, or find a job perfect for you that does pay a reasonable amount. If you start focussing on it around your current work you have something to aim for at the end of the day so you may not feel as bad in your job. You may just have to be prepared to make a lifestyle change.

I do feel the same with you. I lose some energy because job is not suitable with my expectation, low salary, too much work to do. If we lost an enthusiastic in doing job, I advice you to look for a new job because you cant focus anymore to your job now. It's something you need, isn't need?
