I enjoy good food, therefore, I love to cook, but while I'm having fun creating/making my food, I dread the cleaning part of it.. I watch these cooking shows and they make cleaning up so easy...oh wait, they don't! they have staff for that. My life would Almost complete if I had a cleaning crew to clean after I make my mess in the kitchen..*__* oh, how I wish...

For me, I love the entire process - from preparing the ingredients, to the cooking itself, to the cleaning up afterwards. I'm so used to cleaning up after members of my family that now, I find it comforting when I'm cleaning up a mess. Yes, even scratching the pots and pans squeaky clean! @gloryacam (5540)

I would if I could. But, we're several oceans apart, so, you just keep on what you're doing now. For me, it all started with - I love bubbles so I make my washing really bubbly.

Yes, i love cooking too. It's the cleaning up after that i don't love. Sometimes, my hands would feel so stiff the next morning , if i have done cooking then washing the dishes. I guess , it's the heat of the cooking and the coldness of the water in washing. It seems they contradict each other.
BUt other than the washing part, i enjoy cooking too just like you!

Maybe if it will not be of so much of a bother, you could wear hand gloves when you wash the dishes. That way you nails are prevented from too much exposure to the water.
I do that when my hands are already tired, yet i still have to wash the dishes. However, sometimes i don't like the feel of washing the dishes with gloves on. It seems i am not washing them well because i cannot feel if they are all smooth enough, with no other sticky remnants anymore.

I feel the same way, I also hate cleaning the mess that I have started but we don't have a house helper to do the task so there's nothing I could do but wash the utensils that I have used for cooking. It's better that way than paying someone to clean those mess for me.

I was a cook for a long time...and I learnt first start with a clean kitchen...that is a must for me...I would never cook in a dirty or messy kitchen! and when you are cooking clean as you go and if you do that! at the end you will have only a few dishes left to wash!

How I wish too. It would be great if there is someone to clean up the mess in the kitchen after we are done with it.
For me, i enjoy good food to. It would be best if i have someone to cook up great food for me as well as to clean it up after that!

I totally agree, I love to cook, but I hate tidying/cleaning more than anything else. Other students procrastinate from studying by cleaning...I procrastinate cleaning by doing extra work!
I usually try and convince my family that I'll do the cooking, and they can do the washing up!

I'm trying to train my kids to do the dishes, but they have the excuse of homework. I can't let dishes comes in the way of homework, so guess what? I do them instead.... they think they are so sly! I know their little tricks... I don't like to see the kitchen a mess, so I clean up even tho I absolutely hate it... ones got to do what ones got to do...right??

Well, I love cleaning. It's just like cooking for me, it releases my stress. About your problem, I think you can just ask someone in the house to clean for you and in exchange you can cook for him or her.

Maybe you should try not to mess your kitchen that much, so you only have NOT MUCH of a mess to clean up after cooking. :)
I don't usually cook, but when I cook, it's messy. hahah! but I enjoy it, like cleaning it after too..:)

I love to cook. I like chopping, dicing, slicing, sauteing, boiling, broiling, baking, grilling, serving, eating. That's just about it. The cleaning can wait after the food in my stomach has settled. Lucky I have 2 little boys who love to play with bubbles. They can help me wash the dishes.

Wishful thinking my friend. lol
But how I always do it is that while cooking I clean the entire way this way when I am done all that needs cleaning is the dishes we are eating from and the pots on the stove.
