Click on the video. Lee Ann Womack and her beautiful children make this song worth watching. I love the message in this song. And it got to me tonight. Any regrets? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RV-Z1YwaOiw I Hope You Dance lyrics Songwriters: Sanders, Mark D.; Sillers, Tia; I hope you never lose your sense of wonder You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger May you never take one single breath for granted God forbid love ever leave you empty-handed I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance I hope you dance I hope you dance I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance Never settle for the path of least resistance Living might mean taking chances but they're worth taking Lovin' might be a mistake but it's worth making Don't let some hell-bent heart leave you bitter When you come close to selling out reconsider Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance I hope you dance (Time is a wheel in constant motion always) I hope you dance (Rolling us along) I hope you dance (Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder) I hope you dance (Where those years have gone) I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance Dance I hope you dance (Dance) I hope you dance (Time is a wheel in constant motion always) I hope you dance (Rolling us along) I hope you dance (Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder) I hope you dance (Where those years have gone) Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder (Dance) Where those years have gone (Dance) I got nostalgic tonight. A man I was once going to marry called me to chat. He's been diagnosed with COPD and won't quit smoking. Not that it would help, but he's just that way. I've always fallen for the bad boys. The ones who won't be fixed. He was good to me, and I know he loves me still, as I do him. But I just didn't have the courage...to dance. Any regrets in your life, and times you should have danced, but sat it out?

Actually of your long post this last part caught most of my interest more: "...A man I was once going to marry called me to chat. He's been diagnosed with COPD and won't quit smoking. Not that it would help, but he's just that way. I've always fallen for the bad boys. The ones who won't be fixed. He was good to me, and I know he loves me still, as I do him. But I just didn't have the courage...to dance." Hmmm, looks like you had a deeper experiences worth sharing, nevertheless, I like the last part of what you quoted: "But I just didn't have the courage...to dance.". Well dear, good for you that you did not have the courage to dance. I think you should be thankful you did not have that courage, lest you regret even more huh!

Yes, I remember why I chose what I did. And you are correct in your assmessment.

Sure, there have been a few. There are times when the risks seem to outweigh the rewards. More than that however, it is not the big things in life always, sometimes it is the little things with no risk. Words left unspoken, and life taken for granted and all of the little things in between... the everyday normal things. In this world there is no such thing as forever, and all things must end eventually. I made a mistake a couple of weeks ago, and took a step back... because of the risk and the fear of moving too fast. Someone was hurt from that, and I found I was as well. I managed to correct the mistake and undo the damage I had done. I am going to dance that last dance, regardless of the risk. By this time next week, I will have left MO with no intention of looking back or returning. I go to dance one more time, the reward well worth the risk.
