Toll are set for a reason, they keep the lights bright on this long and highly busy roads, they keep the roads from cracks and security from people that would like to take advantage of this long and droopy roads. So for the toll hikes i think it is very important that these are imposed on timely manners and that i hope that the people that are managing these roads will always keep in mind that these increases are half for the benefit of the people that it serves.

Here one can see toll gates on the highway, each vehicle has to pay if they pass on the highway, earlier they used to collect from 2 whellers like bike, scooters too but now it is no more, cars, trucks have to pay, it is compulsory. the money is utilized for good, but the sad part of the story is some of the officers posted at the gates are dishonest.. Thanks for sharing Professor ‘*^Bhuwan^*’. .

I wonder why are tolls needed on the high ways or expressways. IF it's built to avoid traffic congestion, why should drivers pay in the first place? BY having to pay, most drivers will want to avoid it at all cost, making normal roads more congested than usual. That's the case in bangkok, and it's something i can never understand. Toll fees are meant for the operator's benefits more than users of those high ways.

A toll is another term for payment. It is associated with payments made on road. However, people feel it is an additional burden for them. But the toll collected from the people is used for maintenance of the road and takin care of the roads in all respects.
