In this country a lot of people are suffering from immense poverty and are having a hard time keeping food on the table but still survives. But people as history dictates have always been wary of the dark and are compelled to seek the light so in the country's slum areas people resort to desperation and steals electricity from regular power lines. They pay this so called self thought electricians a couple of bucks to buy wiring and climb the electric posts to attach illegal wiring on transformers just to steal electricity. To earn a couple of bucks, tragically a percentage of these men either die of electrocution or gets put away for 6 years since that is what the law imposes for electrical jumpers. I just hope that poverty and criminality would be sorted out before more lives are torn because of this crime.

Desperate situations calls for desperate measures. UNless one is in their situation, we can never understand why they have to do that even though they know it's dangerous. If one is poor, unable to afford eletricity, government has to ask themselves, why and how come he needs to do that. A country's poverty level depends very much on the government and if the government is corrupted, useless, then they don't have the rights to punish anybody.
