Problems with Apple ipod 4G

Hi Guys last week my brother bought ipod 4G, It is amazing but we are facing a problem with that ie it is discharging witin 5-10 hours and it is just switched off. If we charge immediately it is not responding. After one day or two days when we connect it to system then it is responding with charging symbol and it will work for some time. Can anyone suggest me what to do?

I have an ipod touch 4g and i have never encountered this kind of problem before. I believe that all apple products have a one year warranty and i think the best thing that your brother should do is to go back to apple store and complain about this. I haven't heard of such case before in an ipod touch.

update your iphones os becouse sometimes some version of os will drain your battery i dont know if it has happens in ipod i would like to say it happens in android phone
if problem not with the os then replace the old battery with new one if it happens again the problem with your ipod that is it may be a short circuit inside the ipod
consult apple service
