Gautam Gambhir will lead the Indian team for the limited over cricket going to happen just after this IPL.Raina has named as the vice captain.
5 senior members are not playing, Sachin, Viru, Dhoni, Zaheer, Nehra..
The 16 memeber squad is :
Gautam Gambhir (captain),Suresh Raina, Parthiv Patel (wk), Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, S Badrinath, Rohit Sharma, Harbhajan Singh, R Ashwin, Praveen Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Munaf Patel, Vinay Kumar, Yusuf Pathan, Amit Mishra, Wriddhiman Saha (bac kup wk).
Sreesanth and piyush Chawla was dropped.
Partiv patel will be opening the batting with Gambhir.
R.Vinay kumar, amit mishra and Ishanth sharma made thier come back to the team.
Badrinath from tamilnadu has replaced Murali vijay from tamilnadu.
The selectors has not picked the team based on IPL, its based on Ranji performance.
Lets hope that this young legs will put a good show against the westindies team.

The 5 seniors rested.........
this young team can make it there in the WI.
Also good chance for P Patel.
Yuvi could have given the captaincy.
And I except the 11 member team like this.

In WI there is less chance to play 2 specialist spinners,also we have Yuvi, Pathan,Raina as part time spinners.

yes,he is a good captain.already we have seen him leading kkr in ipl.he is an matured person now.indian reserve bench is so powerful,that can feud with any team in the world.

he is not only leading KKR.
he has given India a 5-0 victory against NZ.
so his captaicy is very good, and yuvi is another senior player in the team, hope that he will also perform as he is in good form.
all youngsters should perform well and use the opportunity given to them.
Now India is a good team with good bench strength and talented players.

ya gauti is a good leader.
Raina has also been India's captain in the absence of senior members.
and he was not much effective.
and same way yuvi is also not a good captain.
thats very clear from the performance of pune team.
I think gauti is next captain in the absence of dhoni.
and in future virat kholi will become india's captain.

yes.i have followed his captaincy during ipl.he is intelligent enough to do so.i think-he is better captain than dhoni.his changes are really perfect and witty during the match.

Hi venkit,
In general the team selected appears to be good - talented, young energetic. Only one notable omission, according to me, being Rayadu. He should have been selected at least as second wicket keeper in preference to Wridhiman Saha. He is better batsman than many selected for the tour.

Actually selectors has picked the team based on previous ranji performance not based on IPL.
If the team was based on IPL, then Valthaty and Rayidu would have been in the team.
And what about dinesh karthik, what is the use in experimenting a keeper for some time and avoiding him later?
first partiv, then karthik, now saha and partiv comes to team again.
