a gift of traveling thru time...

"The Time-Traveler's Wife" -- I have read the novel and I have seen the movie as well. I've always love movies with time-traveling plot. In the said movie, the lead character can do time-traveling but he can't control when exactly he's gonna go traveling thru time. While her daughter, can actually control her time-traveling ability. Now I'm just curios, If you are in the shoe of those characters, which do you think would be better... you can control the time that you are gonna go through (like the past or the future) but you can't control when is it gonna happen (like in the middle of your shower, you could suddenly go 'poof!' and you're gone out traveling somewhere already)... or... you can control when do you like to travel through time but you can't control the exact time you're gonna land in (it could be somewhere in your past or anytime in your future)?

I haven't watched the movie, but I have a book copy of that story. I think it's really neat. The author has a brilliant and strange idea. Anyway if I were to choose among the two, I would opt for time traveling which I can control as I don't want to end up being shot or mistaken for as an animal.

hahaha... I got you there flapiz, I definitely would want to control when exactly would I like to start traveling. Apart from being mistaken for as an animal and got shot, well what if you're in an intimate situation with your love-one and you suddenly go 'pooff!'...argh, I don't like that. lol

I saw the movie, I thought it was a good movie. I would pick the option of controlling when I go through time. I wouldn't want to be in the middle of anything when it just happens. There are a few novels about time travel. I like the subject and wish it was a possibility. My girl friend saw something on TV about this Chinese or Japanese guy who figured out how to make time travel possible. I think thats awesome.
