I make some observations in my daily walk of life and came across several people who handle a mobile in one of their hands. Either boarding a bus, driving a car, riding a motorcycle or cycle or even while walkikng leisurely. Mobile is the most dearest item these days... Share your thoughts please....

Not so dearest as important, I think. Mobile phones are almost replacing landlines here in my country. The only places I know that uses landline phones are establishments. All my friends alread unsubscribed from their landline subscriptions and switched to prepaid mobile phone plans instead. I understand why landlines have become obsolete, though. I think it's because a person is now easily reachable with mobile phones. Maybe that's why you see a lot of people with their mobile phones in hand. Maybe they're waiting for a call from a friend, family, employer, etc..

Sad news is indeed the radiation. The use of cellphones should be lessened. People aren't aware of the effects the radiation can cause that's why they don't care. They should increase their awareness with regards to this because it involves their health.

Yes - modern technology has given us many benefits but also harm too. It is we who have to analyze and decide which is better and not harmful to our health.

Wonderful to hear that.I feel landline was more confortable as that would be answered in the space between four walls and no harm. But mobile carries with it radiation which is harmful to human beings...that no one is worried about. Well, if it comes back to landline how will that be...

i can understand what you mean... i can see people holding their mobile phone everywhere nowadays... it is like we and our mobile phones are one and can't be separated... i am fortunate that i am not that attached to my mobile phone... i can even leave my house without bringing my mobile phone with me... and i feel more peaceful when i do that because nobody will be able to disturb me... take care and have a nice day...

Yeah busybee10, it's true that people nowadays could hardly live without their cellphone. Even though they have to take care of others as well as their own safety and not to use them while their riding on their vehicles respectively. Very often road accidents are caused by these cellphone users that are not conscious of road safety. Cellphone is quite useful for us especially when the time we are away from home. We can get help calling by cellphone handily. So it's wise to check the battery power and make sure that it's always charged nicely. It's really depressed if the cellphone doesn't work for the run out of power when one needs help urgently Happy posting and have a niceday

I agree, for me it's one of the basic things that I need in this world. It has many benefits and it's really the best and convenient way to contact or communicate the person dearest to you, that's why mobiles are important to us.

Not only you but every one needs a mobile. It has become a must - sometimes I feel more than food. As you say it is very useful but people are misusing it without any limits.
