Most Loved Villain

In whatever story, may it be in a manga, anime, a movie, or what, stories become fascinating with the help of villains or antagonists. Most of the time, antagonists are not really loved or adored by the patrons since they make the protagonist suffer. But there are also times the villain is so effective since he has style thus he's been adored.
Who's your favorite manga villain and why? Share your thoughts please! Thanks!

Hi Pattricia!
Do you know Rurouni Kenshin manga a.k.a Samurai X?? I really love all the antagonists on this story especially Makoto Shishio. He is the true villian/bad guy out of all antagonists we have there. He is extremely ruthless and coldblooded with a real evil genius persona. I really love this character so much for his determination to conquer the world through violance(but that is not a good attitude in reality)~(^^)

As mentioned by the posters above.. it seems like many people like Light. I used to like him but after a while.. I find him too cowardly.
An antagonist I like very much is Johan from Monster. He's cool and intelligent (similar to Light) but I personally think that his personality is more charming. Monster is a really good manga but it has a very dark theme so read it if you don't mind dark themes.
Another antagonist I like would be Lelouch from Code Geass. Again.. he's cool and intelligent... even though he's quite cowardly at times too.. his love for his sister makes it difficult to hate him. He also managed to redeem all the bad things he did at the very end.

It actually depends on what type of manga you're reading. If you're reading about sports manga, then it surely doesn't have any villain. For me, I like to see manga that has eternal enemy, but seems that there are only a few.
