PTC: Is paying to upgrade your account worth it?

I don't use PTC much anymore, and it's more than safe to say I have given up on most sites of this nature and sought other ways to earn online. I am curious, however, as to how many of you have actually paid to have your account upgraded so that you could have more ads to view. Is it worth it? Does it really earn you more money in the long run? For those who have upgraded your accounts on sites like Clixsense or Wordlinx, what has been your experience? Thanks in advance for your insight!
