The beginning of the end of Discrete Graphic cards??? By now I expect Most of the PC Gamers to be aware of Intel's latest Processor Family release-The Core i 2nd Generation- and the most noted upgrade in the chips, Which is the inbuilt Graphics preprocessor, which according to Intel is capable of handling most of the midrange hardware demanding games of today. Intel During the product debut stated that it plans to Knock ATi and Nvidia out of the GPU Card market with this Technology. I was skeptical , but my Father was keen to try out the technology and so He purchased a new Core i5 2nd Gen Low end Processor and a new Motherboard both for the price of 39,000 Sri Lankan Rupees (An equivalent of 356 USD). Together with 6GB of RAM I was able to play Crysis 2 on the Gamer level Graphics Setting without any trouble. !!!!There wasnt a discrete GPU on the system!!!! *NOTE*:- 1.)Intel has two types of Inbuilt GPU's in there processors ; the Low End 2000 series & the High end 3000 series. 2.)The processor stated in the above system utilizes the Low End 2000 series GPU. I apologize that I have not provided precise data on the Intel core i5 2nd Gen processor(I couldn't remember all the details :p). My question is Will we be able to Play the high end games of tomorrow without the need of Discrete GPU's?
