Most of the people I came across are turned to be greedy and selfish only. The people who I came across are well settled in life and there is no any problems to them. Despite having all the things in life, still they are searching for something which they already have. Some people for more money, possessions of properties etc., I wonder why these people are so greedy?

What happened: 1. The higher the man's knowledge, the technology is getting advanced, so whatever is on earth will be utilized, including atmospheric, even though the heavenly bodies will be eaten so greedy. 2. Advances in technology are not matched by progress of science and science humniora adequate environmental balance. 3. Religious knowledge was limited to theory and practice theory zero, even a big zero., Let alone those who are not religious? 4. None / no revolutionary movements that invites us to combat environmental pollution unless the "Green Piece" that often foundered ndi middle of the sea and sank without a trace in all lines of the fight against environmental pollution. 5. Our planet is heading towards the path tremendous damage, unless people start to realize his mistake in managing the earth. So lets go to a simple life, go to back

There are people something like that, friend. We can't blame them into that stage. Because they want to be stable and not being poor again. If they stop looking for more someday they will find themselves nothing...That is not a kind greediness...that maybe a kind of generosity. Selfish people is worse than those kind of people. Because selfish people is not happy with their lives even if they pretend to be happy but reality they are not happy they knew it with their selves...

I think they are of the mistaken belief that happiness comes from material possessions and money. All they do is make the misery a little bit more comfortable. They probably are greedy/selfish and strive for more possessions/money as they still haven't yet learned that happiness comes from the small, free things in life and from within.

Greed is part of human nature. Money is the number one source of it because money seems to be the one that makes the world go around. Although there are some who thinks that not everything is run by money but with love and I admire them for their monk-like way of thinking.

I think it's because humans have natural built-in survival instinct which drives them to get more and more resources to make sure that their offspring can have a very long and happy life. in this modern era where most people do not have to fight physically with other people for foods, this ancient instinct manifests itself in greediness toward money, properties, and other material things for the same reason: to make sure that their offspring can survive. not only survive, but also have a very nice quality life.

To be selfish these days has become the necessity in todays competitive world. Sometimes people become selfish as they do have some interest behind it. there are lot of people for whom money has become more important than relations which is dangerous as money is or never ever will be important than a person. people should understand it as greed take a man to the wrong direction. As greed of money ruins life.

We just can't seem to be satisified with what we have in life. We always seem to be going after something more. It can make us greedy and selish as we keep chasing the dream., Will we ever reach satisfaction where we think we have obtained enough? we may never know this for sure.

The truth is: man doesn't know what he really wants. He pursue which he think is good for him. He strive to be on top that no one can bring him down. Unless he found what he needs, he would stop to pursue other things.

I think we have to be selfish sometimes, it's a form of self preservation and if we were giving and helping all the time then we would suffer as a result, perish as it were, of course there needs to be a balance. Balance between helping others and also yourself.

It always starts with discontent. At first we think we are ok with what we have. All of a sudden, we are looking for the things that we do not have. Because of this desire, we try to obtain the things that we don't have by any means. In result, we hurt the people close to us because we forget that they just don't exist for our benefit but for them to be loved by us.

Maybe its a lack of self awareness that we can never have enough of what we have? My dad used to tell me, a guy in a day can only eat three meals. How much more he can spend on consumption on goods and services beyond that? We can go to the most polish and extravagant hotels, restaurants and private clubs, but after all this heavy consumption, whats next? More consumption of goods? I guess people just dont know what to do in their free time and dont want to get out of their comfort zone by finding new habits to replace their old habit of spending lavishly. Maybe they can try volunteering? I dont see much of that happening in our current predominantly capitalist system, where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Well, I am not advocating a welfare system where by the lazy and unmotivated free-ride on the capable, many of today's relationships problem come from our apathy towards other people's troubles and misfortunes. Come and think of it, resources only become scarce when people get selfish and hoard all their goods for their personal consumption. If everyone started sharing a little and helping one another, I believe society would become more all-inclusive and caring and gracious. Of course, I dont expect one to totally give up Everything they have to others in need. What I am suggesting is everyone tries to help in small little ways, like showing a little care and concern for others. We need not necessary donate a truckload of money to bless someone; we can do service to others by giving our time, energy and effort to others. Its like having a main course; our nation is now only dishing out main dishes of capitalism - its very harsh and cruel to those who are unsuccessful in the system, what we can do is to supplement the main dish with side dish of socialist policies. Please note I am Not advocating a 100% communist system - we have many live nations that break down in such systems; what I am proposing is perhaps 60% capitalist and 40% socialist system so that our society need not be soooo obsessed with money, money , money at the expense of others. Cheers.
