All this constant work is taking its toll on me.

Long days, especially with no time off at all is really getting to me. The problem is that there has been so much rain that we haven't been able to work. So we make up for it by working long hours and as many days as we can. I need a day off desperately, but when it's over, rent and other bills will be paid thankfully. It's good in a way, I'm so active that I am losing weight pretty fast, and I'm happy about that. Last night after work, I came home, had dinner and had to cut the grass here, took about an hour to do it as I hadn't done it in 2 weeks and it was long because of all the rain. Given that our property is fairly large, it always takes a long time to do this. If I'm off next weekend, I will be completing the garden. I wanted to get it done this weekend, but had to work, obviously, and haven't been off since last Sunday for sure, can't remember if I had Monday off or not. I am so tired, but once this job is done, it will be worth it.

Oh, I know, some of those long days are really exhausting. Is your hubby able to help with the lawn at all? In the summer I do most of the lawn work that gets done. I did in my first marriage as well. This hubby helps some and he is wonderful about cleaning up the equipment once I am done and making sure there is enough gas for them etc. If one of the mowers is having trouble he gets it serviced too. I think he is afraid of mowing something I want to keep. I hope you get some days off or some normal days. I am trying to be more active but it took me almost a year to get this sedentary, it will take a while to build back to active and fit. Working on my lawn will help. I have mostly containers, as they can get more sun than the actual plot I used last year. I did have some things I put in the plot today. Cucumbers and some left over pepper plants that did not fit my containers.

I'm using the work mower right now, and I'm the only one allowed to use it. So no one else can cut the grass at home. Tomorrow looks to be like it will be an extremely short day if it rains, so at least I'll be able to relax a while.

I am glad you are getting things done, but it does get tiring. We are having my sons graduation party here and have been trying to get things done. I cannot wait until it is over.

I know how that goes. I used to work two jobs, sometimes both in the same day. That would be 8-16 hours in a day. My part time job I worked weekends and two or three weekday nights (4-12) and my full time job was m-f from 7-3:30. I never had a day off until I was knocked down with cancer back in 2003. The doctor told me I couldn't work so I used my free time to volunteer at the red cross (which I am doing again now). It is hard to work so many days without a break. I hope you got today off! Have a great week!!!

i hate those long days with no off. just one day off makes a huge difference. of course you get paid extra but i hat it when you dont have the time to splurge the money and spend time for yourself. I hope work condition gets better for you. Good luck!

Wow yes it gets that way at times, where so much to do and so little time to do it in. Sounds like you are getting everything needed to get done so do try and rest whenever you can. In the long run you will feel good that you did all you have done.
