You do have a problem on your hands but eating rice with meat is not so bad. Why do you want to change it if your dog is growing well and healthy. I give my dog pressure cooked chicken legs cut into small pieces with chicken soup and rice and ofcourse pedigree later in the evening and little of milk.If you insist, you can reduce the quantity of meat and rice and slowly introduce the dog food. It will take some time but eventually your dog will eat you will give him.

Hi Harries!. Did notice the dog in my avatar is mix breed dog and look so cute. He is 2,5 year old and never got to vet beside get to his annually vaccination. You he never eat dog food his entire life, I am not giving it because I personally think dog food contain preservative and you never really sure what you had it there. By giving fresh food you can give what the best for him and you need to realize your dog is domesticated carnivore so give him a sufficient amount of protein. I am feeding him with rice with meat or chicken or fish. Give fruit and vegetable as treat for being a good boy. just don't forget to brush the teeth or dental stick or Raw bone.

Don't worry about it. Keep offering him the dog food and not people food. When he is hungry enough, he will eat. Dogs learn quickly how to manipulate people. Occasional treats of lean meat won't be harmful physically but he may just try to hold out as long as he thinks you might come up with the people food.
