It's summertime, will you go on vacation?

It seems like we'll never have enough money saved to go on vacation, so my family won't this year, but will yours? Where will you go?

My husband makes it a point that we travel even once in a year to a new place in my country. It is our way of rewarding ourselves for working hard for the past year. We bring along our 5 year old son in most of our trips. Traveling gives a new learning experience for him. This year we went to Davao where we did some snorkeling, zorbing and tried the zipline. I think one can travel without going broke. We usually get seat sale promos offered by local airlines whose travel dates are usually months ahead. I also do my research online and visit some travel forums to get feedbacks on cheap accommodations and the must-see-places so I can plan our itinerary and save on fares. This way we are able to save up for our trip. If you weren't able to save up for a trip, you can still enjoy summer with your family. There are amusement parks or nature parks that are very accessible, you don't need to travel that far and still enjoy it. This year we also went to the oceanarium to see different species of sea creatures, had a fish spa that was very tickling and saw the fountain show. My company offered 50% off on the tickets so I availed it. There are so many ways to enjoy bonding time with your family without really getting broke
