Would you share?

We all gain experience over time. I remember my aunt giving me advice and saying I should do as she said because I would regret it later.....I didnt always listen to her and she was right about me regretting it later!! Ive learned over the years that its best to not follow what everybody does. Do your own thing and who cares what others think. Ive learned over the years to be happy with what I have and a new TV or new car doesnt make the person that I am. Ive learned over the years that family should be cherished as if its the last time you'll see them because you never know. So what have you learned over the years and would gladly share with someone else.....someone younger maybe?

I have gained a lot of knowledge in my years. For starters I was not raised with my own family. I was in foster care most of my youth years. It made me feel like I had a complete void in my life. One day having had my own family, I decided to finally learn and listen on my own that I had to cherish what I had not concentrate so my on my void. I have to say it was the best thing I did, as I successfully on my own raised two wonderful and respectful children who thus far have not demonstrated any signs of not having missed out on more family.

One thing which i was taught is that NEVER SAY NEVER... really the things which are told by elder people should be always kept in mind and shall be transferred to our generations as time passes, because these things which are taught to us by someone who is an experienced person are like PRECIOUS DIAMONDS and can help anyone in any moment in life so its better to keep all these things in minds cause if one does not listens to it, one will naturally regret that...

Its too bad that most of us dont listen when we're young and then its sort of too late when we're older!! Well not really, I now listen carefully when older family member say something. You're right, its like precious diamonds!! I forgot the "never say never" When I was in my 20's I said I would NEVER own a restaurant......I bought one in my 30's only to regret it haha. Now I dont say it anymore.......no sirree!! Thank you for sharing!

What have I learned over the years. Well like you I have learned occasionally when I didn't listen to a few peoples advice especially when I was younger the ones who said I'd regret was right I did regret it. I learned it's best to say nothing when you are angry because words are weapons and they can't be taken back. I hate myself for forgetting that not too long a go. I have learned family is the most important thing in life and are to be cherished we are not promised a tomorrow with anyone. I have learned and this last one take it as you will, I have learned the world is going to end many many many times before it actually does and I am soooo tired of hearing about it. lol =D

LOL that is so funny about the end of the world. I too think that it happens so many times that """IF""" ever its to end, we wont believe it!! I forgot the one about words being weapons. Thanks for reminding me. Sorry you forgot about it not long ago. I too forget to weigh what I say before I say it. We live and learn! Thank you for sharing!

I'm still pretty young, but I have learned that it is important to enjoy the little things in life, simple joys. Also that it pays off way better to be honest and work hard. Do what you love and the rest will come. :)

You're very wise if you know all this and you're pretty young. You can still share with others your age who arent as smart as you then. Thanks for replying!
