What are the advantages of writing articles on wikipedia?

Wikipedia articles are editable by anyone. How it is beneficial to the individual?

I am a frequent reader of wikipedia articles...it was so sad that I havn't notice that anyone (including me) could do editing to any of the articles. Would you please share how!

Editing wikipedia is not really beneficial to the editor.The point wikipedia is sharing your knowledge with the comunity that is the point of wikipedia.However i suppose there are possible benefits for the editors such as the good feeling knowing you are helping to contribute to community knowledge and it may help improve your writing skills etc.

It is very beneficial to me. First, I was able to share the knowledge that I have easily & free of course. I like to share, happy sharing d^_^b

Wikipedia is like an encyclopedia with like infinity pages. You need more then a life time to read every article. If you read the entire Wikipedia, you will become even smarter then albert einstein. Hair like him too :D
