Yesterday I saw a van on road books overloaded, by seeing that i got an idea of business, that i can start home delivering of books. So many students don't have time to go to the market for only a book, because i takes time and they may be don't have time. So they can call upon a van by using an emergency no., we buy books in stock and deliver books within 2 days and earn by add on delivery charges. What you think give your suggestions.

I am a mother of two smallchildren. they are reading class 5 and 2. really I face a problem. it is a big headache to me. they always telling "Mummy, I need this, I need that." Most of the time I find it difficult to go to shops to buy their things. and I have another problem also. I don't understand the proper name for the things, which they need. I never take the things without the help of shop peoples. the shop people seem tobe professionals. they have a fair knowledge about the school things than mothers and fathers. as a mother I just told you my problem. Sometimes you may get idea from this. remember this online shopping make things easily this day.

It looks appealing to me.But in my opnion,I would like to search through a variety of books to select mine.May be I can serach them in the internet and select the book and call such service to be delieverd to me.But it will wont be much profit to you.It will profir to you when it comes to school and college books, where you can buy in bulks and distribiute to the students.Such services are already going on where the shop keepers come to the school or college to deliver them. But anyway your idea is good. But not sure if you can profit by this work/.

Interesting concept and idea, and could probably work. Especially if you could focus around a College area. I am sure you would make quite a bit of $$ doing this as well. I guess the biggest issue would be the $$ to get this going by getting stocked up on the type of books you might want to carry as well. What you might want to do is check into what it would take to do a Business like this, and get things going in the works.

Personally I would think you need to try and find out which books are the most wanted or used, and try to keep maybe 5 in stock to begin with, and then replenish them as supply and demand wants. To be able to show a little stock from the beginning encourages them to want to purchase more and know you are really wanting to be a successful business person as well.

I think i should reach first the engineering books because, many engineering students i can find and each engineering book is about 400 to 500 or above, so better margins can be there, so better profit. Any more ideas, invited.

With the online marketing system students can get their books at their door step. You should therefore look at the possibility of the market being eaten away through these online outlets. You should meet the college faculty and feel their pulse in this regard. There are students who do not opt for the online system and therefore you should tap those students who prefer to get books from book stall such as yours!

You will need to do a market survey to ascertain the need for such a service, then I suggest you check the legalities of such a business venture. You may need permits, licensing, bonding or insurance, vehicle insurance, a supplier for a variety of books, maybe a buy back policy, buying used books for resale, perhaps check to see if there will be an online market for your 'older stock'... Some permits may be local, some will be for a larger area, some may be for the 'commercial' aspect of this business. Might want to check out the legalities first then do the market survey...it's always best to do your homework first.

Sorry to be negative. The year was 1979. We made Bank exam question paper costing Rs.3 only. They were displayed near the exam centre where similiar exam was conducted. Believe me. I could not sell one copy. Year was 1991. I wrote a book for bank promotion test to be used by bank employees of various banks. I sent out post cards throughout India to the bank branches where promotion exam was conducted. I could sell 9000 copies those days. Both positive and negative. Think, discuss and implement.

You might as well put up a library for kids in the neighborhood to enjoy. Maybe you can charge even Php5.00 per head for 1-2 hrs of stay. =)
