Does any myLotter get a data entry job from odesk?

I have signed up for odesk today hoping to find some data entry jobs but although there were plenty of jobs available, a lot of the bidders are companies or groups who can definitely complete a project faster that single me. I wonder if anybody here gets a data entry job for odesk as an individual.

Hi ddaguno, Several months ago I took a look at the site and read a great deal of reviews online. From what I am seeing above it pretty much sums what I found online. That it is a good site, but you have to invest a great deal of time, where as there are no guarantees for work. As many will get the bids for way much lower than you own low bid. Upon seeing a few offers myself there, I decided it was already way too cheap and was not going to invest a great deal of time to be outbid for yet lower. Good luck and if you find it has improved, let me know how it works out.

We are in the same boat my friend. I signed up to odesk and make my resume looks good. But until now I haven't gotten a job inside odesk. I will try to upgrade more on my portfolio who knows in the future I can use them in applying for data entry in odesk. Have a nice day ahead mt friend.

Hi ddaguno I did that odesk a few months back - and was quite taking it seriously. But then after a few months, I realized, I am not meant for wasting that time I did there. All seems to go fine but then right at the last moment, you will always confront some firm/guy who is willing to do the work for even 1 cent. Yes, as a firm, you may have a stronger chance as your organization will provide the backup but as a single free lance guy, chances of success on free lance sites are becoming remote.
