I've used a bunch of anti-virus software solutions, too. I've used and still use an free anti-virus software solution called "avast!" for some years now, and it works very well! It'd kept me virus free, and there are automatically updates at least one time per day, sometimes there are two or three updates everyday! You can download avast! from here: http://www.avast.com avast! do have some paid solutions too, with some extra protection, if you want. They also provide packages for Home and Business usage, also in Free and Paid solutions.

Thank you buddy. But avast does not remove recycler or auto run.

What exactly do you mean with "remove recycler or auto run"? Do you mean that it doesn't "Emptying the Trash" and "Stops Auto-Runners, when you boot-up your computer"? Because, those two things is easily done in seconds, without any additional software!

You can also see a review of 25 of the best paid anti-virus software solutions out there. The best according to TopTenREVIEWS as of 2011, is: #1: BitDefender Antivirus #2: Kaspersky Anti-Virus #3: Webroot AntiVirus #4: Norton AntiVirus #5: ESET Nod32 Antivirus etc. But remember this is a review of the paid solutions! To each his/her own. If one is thoroughly satisfied with the anti virus that one has then that becomes the best in the world. I am satisfied with Kaspersky. It takes care of me in every way.

You can try norton, I've been using that ever since my first comp. Never tried the others before. Norton has always been my first choice.

I simply use the free version of AVG. I don't know if you have to do something in particular with computer, but for what I do it's okay for me.

So far, Avira is the best we have and will never change it. I have been using it since I have my PC. My techie friends recommends it too. Most of them recommends it and been using it for longer terms already.
