Software Testing

What is software testing? Is it possible to learn software testing online? Is is easy? Any scope for job?
I heard about software testing, but I have no idea about it. One of my friends told me that it is a very good course to get job in higher salaries. So I would like to get some information about it.

I'm not sure about that course but you can ask the college to send you a course description. You can also look it up online and see what kind of jobs and such a class like that can open up to you. It might dependant on your area too so I would refine my search to local jobs or places you would be willing to go.
It sounds like it would be a class coupled with some program development classes or Research and design.
