Three of My Dad's dogs have littered!!Two dachshunds and a dalmatian!! Thirteen Dachshunds and five dalmatian Puppies :D as cute as they are it would be difficult to keep them at my dad's house so when they are weened they will have to be given away or sold.My Dad's planning on selling them, I was wondering since I'm not really into all the dog breeding fanfare how much does an average dog sell for or in this case dalmatians and dachshunds?

Depending upon whether they can be registered, the dachshunds can go for $300-$400 (at least in my area) and the dalmations somewhat more. The larger dogs usually cost more. If the dachshunds are long haired or wire haired, that will add more $$$. If they don't have papers, the price will depend upon what the breed mix is.

Check out these sites..... http://www.nextdaypets.com/directory/dogs/sale/1100088/ http://www.nextdaypets.com/directory/dogs/sale/1100093/ You would be wise to check with people in your area of the world and see what is being paid for the dogs.

Congratulations! You are now into the greatest time wasting era ever! You can sit and watch the little ones for hours on end as they eat, play and sleep. Just wonderful I assume that they are pedigree and that you have papers for both the sire and the dam (can't say b*tch in Mylot!). In the UK you also have to register the litter with the Kennel Club and supply two alternate registration names for each puppy. With those breeds it would have been better to have the mother scanned for hereditary problems like hips, eyes and back before breeding and the sire should have been chosen with low 'scores' in the same breed problems. It is important for all responsible breeders to try and rid the breed of these bad problems. There is no guarantee of course. Our lab pup had pedigree parents with low hip and eye scores but she grew up with a high hip score so we sadly won't breed from her. We paid £500 for her. We were VERY particular who we sold our pups to. The new owners had to proove their pedigree to us! haha Enjoy your lovely pups for 8 weeks until the go to their new owners.

Urrm....., In my country we don't really bother with registration like you would in "Developed" countries, But you should have the dog vaccinated at a registered Vet and keep account of the vaccines. I think some of the high-end breeders get their dogs registered and the sire's and "Dam's" papers checked before breeding. But In my case or my dad's case there have been no such health checks or paper checks, but yeah we WILL definitely check the buyers "pedigree" before selling. I dont think I'll get to see the Pups that much since I dont live with My Dad but here's hoping for the best ;).
