I've been on the computer for almost 4 hours now and I still haven't finished enrolling all of my subjects (i only have 9 subjects this semester)... The server is so slow.. if they can't accommodate the thousands f students enrolling, they should just give schedules of reach department to enroll or just postpone this online enrollment thing.

Almost every college and university wants their system updated and enrollment computerized. But i know one university got problem during its first day of computerized enrollment where in students that pre enlisted the subjects and confirmed online cancelled after the next log??? what happened?

yeah, online enrollment would be easier since they don't have to encode the information in their system anymore... But they could have tried it first and see what they problems are before making us use it..

Hi. lady1993. I agree with you. I do hope that their server picks up very fast, so that you can finish enrolling into all of your classes. It is nothing fun about being online when the server is moving so slowly. I also feel that they should allow only certain students to enroll online at different times. If the students are separated by their class range when they enroll then this will make the enrollment process more faster. I do hope that you will be able to finish enrolling in your classes.

I did- I am quite thankful that I finished enrolling now, although I do not like my schedule that much since I ran out of the schedules that I like. They did fix their problem a few days later.

hello lady, am glad i dont have that enrolling problem anymore. today's high technology should be giving you the comfort of just sitting and doing it. unlike in our days where we have to get in the group of students, and after finishing and getting out of the pack, one is sweating like having run 100 meter dash. but yes, the server is so slow. in fact i have not worked on mylot for 2 nights. the server would not connect the sites. what a waste of time. ann

Yes, it really annoys me when the server is so slow and I can't use the internet at all... it truly is a waste of time, so I just turn my computer off. I hope that the enrollment would be better next semester.

You will think that the mere presence of an online enrollment will solve every problem regarding enrollment day. I think, in the part of the school, they didn't anticipate enough that more students are more inclined to do the online enrollment than going to school and doing it personally. I like your suggestion and I hope that schools understand it and remember it for the next enrollment. I experience it before in my college years when my school started the enrollment automation. After two years, students (in my school and years) still need to go to school to do online enrollment in the computer labs. They say that it is the preferred methods since there will be assistance form the registrar's office and they are still paperwork that needs to accomplished by actually going to the registrar. Up to now, I feel your pain. I am supposed to be enrolling tomorrow and I am dreading it. The university has a lot of students and I don't like waiting in line or to travel two hours back in fort just to make the cut. The online system barely works sufficiently and efficiently. Hardly something you can call an advance step for the school and hardly a benefit for the student, methinks.

We were warned before that it was going to be so slow.. but we didn't expect it to be THAT slow. Everyone has to enroll online though, no more manual...which is why the server can't handle it. I also had to go to school, but then it was still slow there..

Is this the first time your school introduced the online enrollment? If yes, maybe the admin still doesn't know the weakness of the system. Maybe it would be better if you let them know so they can do something about the process. Actually your idea is good and i think it will work.

not really, they started with some departments a year ago.. it's just this enrollment that almost all the departments are doing online enrollment. They know already, there were tons of comments on their page about how slow the system is..and I think they solved it a few days later.

hi lady1993, yes, i agree with you. online enrollment or registration for anything requires speedy internet infrastructure. it will be frustrating to wait our courses to be registered, while sometimes the process will lead us to error message or cancellation or statement that class has been full.

es, I really hate error messages- they said the server couldn't handle all of us enrolling at once. Good thing it became a bit faster a few days later so i finished my enrollment..
