setup php, appache and mysql

Is it possible to setup php,mysql, and apache on my desktop. And open the files(php files) on my laptop?
Like having your own local area php site.

Before you try this, it would be best to actually lay out your end goal.
And from that, check if your hardware is able to support it.
Remember databases needs more computing power. Not sure if your laptop would be able to handle the load.
