Can you still remember the family computer? Game consoles have come a long way. Now, you don't even need a physical controller to play games. Isn't it awesome if, in the future, we get to experience virtual reality using game consoles? Wow, RPG would be a thousand times greater if that happens. What do you think is the future of game consoles and handhelds?

Virtual reality would indeed be awesome! But scary games would even be scarier. Imagine getting stuck in the alternate universe in Silent Hill? It will be similar to a living nightmare. And more people would react to the violence in games like Grand Theft Auto as it becomes more real - with unstable people unable to distinguish reality from virtual reality.

Right?! :) OMG, Silent Hill, I'm even afraid to play it alone. I always ask my boyfriend or sister to watch while I play so I won't get scared easily. :) Cool insight on the negative effects though, I haven't thought of that! :)

it would be cool if we could directly become part of the game world, maybe just wearing special glasses and become inside a rpg world where you can interact through speaking to each other like in the real world!

Well If you are asking after 50 years from now. Then I see there would be tremendous change in the way people play games. There would be parlours to play games where you don't have to do anything physically but just wear a pair of goggles and think just like in the cartoon Johnny quest. People will play everything in 3D. As if everything is happening around them. Costs of 3D accesories will be so low that anybody would be able to buy it. First person shooter games would be experienced in a way never thought before.
