What is your ideal Customer Service Representative?

I've been hearing and reading a lot of surveys and comments about customer service representatives. Can you give me your idea on what is your ideal Customer Service Representative? Thanks :)

Someone are really learned from their training and was able to handle the stress of the job. Someone who is humble yet knows what he or she is doing. Someone who is respectful and patient to handle a crazy client and make them satisfied at the end of the call because of their good communication skills in dedication with their job. Anyway I'm a quality assurance a specialist in in a call center and my job is to tap the calls the customer service representatives do everyday and monitor if they're and doing their job well. So I know who is good and who is bad. Many people had been fired because of me for their lack of ability to handle this crazy overwhelming job while many were promoted because of me as a reward for their excellence in their job. If they can keep customers happy that his immediate customer service representative.

Are you working as one? At least it's much easier than being a telemarketer because they were much more miserable.

Why? Are you planning to be a call center agent? For me, a good customer service representative is someone who listens well, talks fluently, and provides the best solution for a customer regarding their problems. Customer service reps should also be considerate of the customer's personal life if brought up. They should learn how to express their empathy on the phone. I think this adds rapport between the agent and the customer and this is essential in solving the customer's problem.
