So I saw the youtube video where the military men were talking about how Delta made them pay an extra 200.00 for the fourth bag they have. That fourth bag for the one talking, weapons. I was amazed by the comments I read. How theyr were whinning and because they are in the military think they should get a free ride. This upset me. I know a lot of ppl travel for business and some of the expense does come out of pocket, but lets think here. When you travel for business are you arriving at a hotel or the desert? Are you sleeping in a bed or on the floor? Are you sleeping at least 7 hours a night or maybe getting a nap in after a 24 hour shift? Are you walking down the street or looking out for someone who is trying to kill you? On the bag are you traveling with possibly a carry on, or some huge duffel bags that weigh a ton and weapons? The airlines have contracts with the military and usually what happens when you go on military trips you file a travel claim and use a government issued credit card. They than pay you back. I dont know exactly how it works with the airlines though. MY husband hasnt gone over seas, just sometimes to another state for schooling. I dont think its fair we as US citizens put these guys down for fighting for our freedom. A war they didnt want, but have to do. Most Military families qualify for some sort of state assitance. Once you reach a certain rank you dont qualify anymore, but your still not having money shooting out of your ears. This comes down to respect. These men were informing the public of Deltas lank of respect for our military. In all the guys coming home paid over 2,000.00 in extra baggage. Tell me how that is right? Now if they are reimbursed great, but form where the stood on that plane they paid out of pocket, money they will never see again.

Airlines each have an allowance of luggage on their planes. I know that the budget airlines charge for all bags. Taking 3 bags costs more than one bag. Military men carry a lot of bags then if they need a 4th bay! I don't like war and think it is terrible how much money a country spends on Military. Delta don't seem to give anyone extra bag allowance and it doesn't give special treatment to the Milatary.

Only problem is when a military personal travel from being in war they are bringing back government property. Since the airlines have a contract with the military the men shouldnt have to pay out of pocket. Most military families qualify for some sort of state assitance. I dont think anyone likes war, but no need to punish the men and women who put their lives on the line. I think we give much more credit and freedom to get away with things to movie stars, sports stars and music artist. They make way more. We need to think about the men and women who serve us, not just speaking military, but police, and firefighters as well. My husband is in the military and trust me we dont go about looking for a free handout, but when my husband travels for government/job we shldnt have to pay out of pocket for it. Im sure a lot of the ppl who work for government dont pay out of pocket for a lot of things and make way more than we do and all they do is sit at a nice cushy job.
