Do you know someone who lies so much that they actually believe the lies that they tell even if you have proof that they are lying? they would do anything to not say that they are lying?? what is wrong with these ppl

Yes, I do know someone who is exactly like that. It's like second nature to them. Even if it's just a small thing, they lie. I believe they are called "pathological liars". Some people lie because it makes them feel better about themselves. They like the deceit and the mind games I think.

yeah it could be the smallest thing like what they had for breakfast and they would lie even if you were with them and knew what they had its stupid

The best advice is to just stay away from people like that or avoid contact with them. It's really hard to deal with these kind of people but hey at least you found out already that they are liars and wouldn't have to be subjected to their lies anymore. Next time they tell you one of their lies, you just smile because you know exactly what's going on.

Yes, I know someone like that. I think she is very deluded because deep down, she is very insecure and feels as though she has to invent things about herself to keep people interested in her. The problems are that firstly, she doesn't seem to understand that other people can see right through her lies and don't believe her, and secondly, she gets so involved in her own lies that she comes to believe them herself. I have gently hinted to her that although I don't always say so, I usually know when people are lying, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference to her behaviour.

I have known a few like this and to be honest they are distant acquaintances as I do not allow their ways in my environment. I feel it is a waste of time and energy to keep up with their lies.
Worse part too, is that they believe their lies so much that they would argue hard core that they are right. lol

Well, I personally do not know anyone like that. However, I am aware that there are people in the world that are like that.
You have to realize, sometimes... these people may not be able to help themselves. They may have mental issues.
I am not saying everyone who lies has mental issues and that they can't help it. Of course most people can control themselves and be honest. There are many honest people in this world. :-) But, some people have problems that they may not be able to help, or do not yet know how to control it and need to get help with it.
Not everyone that lies does it because they are a horrible person, or because they want to get away with.
Some people actually believe they are telling the truth, when they are in fact lying... but maybe they are not choosing to operate like that. Perhaps they have a mental issue and need to get help.
I like this discussion topic a lot. Maybe it's because I am interested in psychology. I have always wanted to be a counselor or psychiatrist. ^_^
