All Mylot notification checkboxes are unchecked yet I am receiving e-mails?

Hello and good day fellow mylotters!
I have unchecked all notification boxes from my account preferences.
The reason is simple, I do not like receiving emails from Mylot regarding new discussions, or responses to my topics. If it's friends' discussions, I check around a bit and find those I want to reply to.
If it's my own topics, I simply check them at once when I login Mylot at morning.
I find it quite annoying to receive hundreds of emails per day.
Well, why does the setting I set work?I really set to receive none notification at all!
What is wrong with this system?
Could you please help me find a way to stop this?

To stop receiving mails when your friends start a new topic you should go to your friend list and, one by one, turn each of their notifiers to 'off'.
When you have done that and have unchecked all of the boxes under 'preferences' above then the only notifiers that you will receive will be those concerning deleted posts, which are automatic and we cannot put a stop to.

Ah..how come you didn't mention this to me in my discussion since i'm having the same problem as he does
. but i guess you're right. i can't believe i have forgotten about it. i did this before and it worked. oh, well thanks a lot for the advice aunt D. i might as well delete them again and again in yahoomail instead of whining it again in future discussions.
