Hi samdneuro,
First of all welcome to mylot. I hope you will enjoy your stint at mylot. You seem to have visited India for medical treatment. Being an Indian, I have witnessed the growth of medical facilities in my country from poor to on par with the best in the world. This development has not come cheap or overnight. Government of India has spent billions and billions of Rupees in developing these facilities including development of medical professionals. Over the years Indian doctors have been key figures in Hospitals in developed countries including U.K. and America. The medical facilities in India, despite being world class, get at fraction of the cost you have to spend in developed countries. That is where it is lucrative for the people from third world countries.
