I heard from the news that recently we have cases of food poisoning in our country. A lot where affected, worse there were children casualties. I think preventing and recognizing food poisoning is important so as not to be victimized. One prevention I can think of is to prepare your own food. At least you are sure that they are clean, that is if you prepared them clean. Be sure to wash your hands before you cook. Clean dishes and utensils that have had any contact with raw meat, poultry, fish, or eggs. Most sources of food poisonings are not from food prepared and consumed at our home. So be careful on choosing places you eat. Food exposed to contaminants are more likely to get germs. Be careful on what you buy. Do not use outdated foods, packaged food with a broken seal, or cans that are bulging or have a dent. Be careful on what you eat and drink. Do not use foods that have an unusual odor or a spoiled taste. Do not drink water from streams or wells that are not treated. Only drink water that has been treated or chlorinated.

I haven't experienced being poisoned by food. Maybe because i am always cautious of what i eat. I would smell it first and take a tiny little bite to taste. If it doesn't smell good to me ,i would not eat it. Much more if it tastes even a wee bit of spoiled, i would surely not eat it.

I never experienced it. Try your best to be clean as possible especially when you are preparing your food. Eat it as soon as it is cooked. Throw away left over food that can easily contaminated by bacteria especially if it is summer. Don't put your health at risk.

I've never had it, but I don't really eat anything that runs the risk of getting it. Can you ensure that you won't by cooking your meats all the way through, never eating a meat, dairy or other perishable food that has been sitting out for over two hours, and read restaurant reviews before eating there (this has helped me in the past because most people will post about it if they get sick due to food).

-don't cross contaminate, -wash you're hands often when doing food prep, -thoroughly cook food to safe temperature (can be found online for meats), -dont leave food out at room temperature, -when going to a restaurant dont eat the buffet if the restaurant is not busy this means food has been sitting out at perfect bacteria growing levels for long amount of times. once you have it there's not much you can do but just let your body fight it off.
