I went to the AARP convention in Orlando last September. AARP organized a meet and greet for attendees at Universal Studios Theme Park. Had a great time but needed some more time. It was very tiring. You should allow a whole day. Take your time. Wear comfortable shoes. Bring lots of money. It is not cheap. I was there the very end of September. Orlando is very hot and humid. Be prepared.

I believe Florida is hot and humid so that is the sort of weather I most enjoy. I know it has the Universal Studios which I went to when I was in California. Also I went to Disneyland there too. In Orlando they also have Disney World. It is a shame Orlando is an expensive place to visit. I always take comfortable shoes with me when I travel somewhere.

I was there last July. Went to Disney World. I have been there several times in July and it is extremely hot there in July. Lucky last year it only rain the first day we got there but I have been there where it would rain for like 15 minutes every day and around the same time. Usually in the afternoon.

I want to go back when I have more time. I had not been to a theme park in many years and it was somewhat overwhelming but also lots of fun. It's expensive!!!!

Good to know, I will be going there pretty soon, and Universal is one of my top choices regarding the parks.

I had an enjoyable time and would like to go back. Universal Theme Park was wonderful. I wish that I could have gone over to Disney World also. It is expensive! Bring lots of money and take your time. If you do not see it all, you can go back another day or time. Don't forget your camera and wear very comfortable walking shoes. Enjoy.

My first husband had Navy boot camp in Orlando. He said it rained every afternoon at the same time. I think it might be fun to do a convention. I get overwhelmed by the size of some theme parks. Not even sure Universal Studios Theme Park existed when he was there.

I do not know how old you are but I love the AARP conventions. In September, it will be in Los Angeles. If you are over 50, go to AARP Los Angeles 2011. I had not been to a theme park in many, many years. It was overwhelming but fun too. I want to go back but with more time.

I absolutely love orlando florida. All the parks are amazing. You definitley need a day or 2 at each park. Universal Studios can be busy and due to the film type "rides" the ques can be crazy. Whenever I've been it always rains mid afternoon but soon clears up.

Unfortunately, I did not have enough time for any of the rides. I just had time to walk around both parks. I noticed that there were long lines and waits for rides. What are the rides like? And what are film type rides? I really need to go back another time when I have time to wait to get on the rides.
