In doing "paid to" offers and sites like PTC etc...they track you via IP addy. So if I use my desktop to do them now, and then get a laptop and while using the same ISP and all...only difference is I am doing them on a different unit...is the IP addy still the same? I might not be saying that right, but what I want to know is if I get a laptop now...anddo my various "paid to" sites...will I get banned for using a different venue or will they not credit cause the IP addy is different (if it is)?

Hi coffee break. There is a difference with the dynamic and static ip. I have a dynamic IP which is issued by my dhcp server. Therefore, no matter what probable changes we can make to our routers/modems there is no changing the dynamic IP. You can however, change your static IP, and there are very quick steps in doing so. This can be change every 24 hours. Therefore, it depends what you have. As for the fact if using a computer versus laptop, it will be the same and to show that it is, using your computer and laptop on your network. Simply go to" (Not a referral link) http://www.whatismyip.com/ There it will immediately show you what your ip address is and both and no matter how many pc's and or laptops in your home will always be the same if all on the same network. I use to be a huge GPT user and always got 90% of my offers approved, there came a time when nothing would credit. As for my dynamic it does change but mine took 3 years before they assigned a new one, as they do but they do not do so routinely. If you have a dynamic nothing you tell them will get you to get a new one assigned. I certainly tried. lol Changing to a different IP will not get you banned but if you flip between a different routinely that will.
